Shortlisted: Tempelhofer Feld

Urban farming is introduced as key element weaving the new territory that is not yet open to public use into the urban tissue while exploring and investigating its urban potentials.

Embedded in a gridsystem of existing landmarks the concept provides a fieldsystem with four different types of urban fields:
Fields for cultural events, sports grounds and experimentation fields.
The proposal elaborates a detailed concept for each urban field including spacial and timewise aspects marking fixed points in the course of development.
Overlying the spacial infrastructure of the urban fields the concept features a virtual infrastructure ‘Field 2.0.´, a web based communication tool that gathers actors and ideas whilst creating a business platform for selling.
Meadow Promenade and access infrastructure are considered being initial points of development.
